When you visit the Dutch 3D Cup, you just can’t ignore the nice looking orange Ducati’s all around. Time to speak the Dutch Racing Team Kock.
DCF:The team colour is orange, you must be Dutch?
The choice of the orange colour from our bikes is not intentionally done for our Dutch pride, but our oldest brother Johnny, had the combination orange-black a long time in his mind and this fits perfectly our appearance, the colour is reflected in the clothing, our bikes and vehicles and with all about Kock Racing Team to do.
DCF:Why you are participating in the 3D Cup, because there are many competitions in the Netherlands?
There is indeed a various competition, but we want to races on different tracks while the other Dutch competition takes place most at Assen. That is the reason why we have not previously participated in another Championship. The organization of the 3D Cup runs our objectives fully. The fact only Ducati bikes will take part, creates some exclusivity. The atmosphere as group and consistency in the group as well makes this competition unique in its kind.
DCF:You are three brothers in only one team, does it works well?
Sure we are 3 brothers, and yes obviously some emotions can be high sometimes but the next day everything goes back further. Finance is for that reason more functionality.
DCF:What can you tell about the bikes?
Johnny has always ridden a Ducati, Marcel a Yamaha and Harold preferred Aprillia. To participate first in the Ducati Club Races and then in the 3D Cup we choose all for Ducati. So we started to think efficiently and be bought a 1098 for Marcel and one for Harold and a 1098R for Johnny. Our block is fairly standard.
DCF:Goals for 2010 or is this not so important?
The main aim is continuity. Presentation followed by performance, allowing your sponsorship to continue and stay with us, and ensure the entire look of Kock Racing Team to continue. Obviously not only to participate but also score points, while we accept that we are no longer rookies who may pursue a career after.
DCF:Spa-Francorchamps is having your preferences, why?
Francorchamps is our favourite, an unequalled track though close to the Portimao track. We do not often visit Francorchamps, but it gives respect because of the enormous speed we develop. The environment, even the height of the paddock, the package is correct and at the same journey for us as Assen.
