FIRST DAY OF TESTING IN SEPANG FOR THE PRAMAC RACING TEAMPRIMA GIORNATA DI TEST A SEPANG PER IL PRAMAC RACING TEAM
Pramac Racing riders, Mika Kallio and Aleix Espargarò, have returned at work on the Sepang circuit in Malaysia after the long winter break. The day was very hot and this has made an even tougher first day on track for 2010. Aleix Espargarò has slipped while it was going through a slow turn: nothing worrying for the Spanish rider who went back on track without complications just a few moments later. The Pramac Racing Team and its riders will be back on the track tomorrow for other important laps in preparation for the new agonistic season.
Mika Kallio:”It is always nice to come back on the track but like this it was really difficult: I passed from -20 degrees of Finland to the almost 40 degrees here in Malaysia. Today was really hard and now I need a long night of rest to feel better tomorrow. The situation on the track is good; the bike has significantly improved from last season thanks to the best delivery of the new engine prepared by Ducati. We are confident that in this direction we can have a good season.”
Aleix Espargarò:”Help, here is incredibly hot. We have succeeded in achieving an acceptable chronometric result anyway as we have worked well today. First impressions on this year bike is very good: when coming out of the turns the bike is less aggressive, it seems that there is not enough power, but instead the bike is as fast as last year which is really good. It is an excellent step forward. Now it’s our turn to find the best way to ride the bike and improve our lap times.”
I piloti del Pramac Racing Team, Mika Kallio e Aleix Espargarò, sono tornati al lavoro dopo la lunga sosta invernale sul circuito di Sepang in Malesia. La giornata è stata molto calda e questo ha reso ancora più dura la prima giornata in pista del 2010. Aleix Espargarò è scivolato mentre stava percorrendo una curva lenta: niente di preoccupante visto che da li a poco il pilota spagnolo è tornato in pista senza alcuna complicazione. Il Pramac Racing Team e i suoi piloti torneranno in pista domani per altri importanti giri in preparazione della nuova stagione agonistica.
Mika Kallio:”E’ sempre bello tornare in pista ma che sofferenza: sono passato dai -20 gradi della Finlandia ai quasi 40 gradi qui in Malesia. Oggi è stato davvero provante e ora ho bisogno di una lunga notte di riposo per essere al meglio domani. La situazione in pista è buona, la moto è migliorata sensibilmente grazie alla miglior erogazione del nuovo motore preparato dalla Ducati. Siamo sicuri che seguendo questa direzione potremmo fare una buona stagione.”
Aleix Espargarò: “Aiuto, qui fa davvero un caldo incredibile. Siamo riusciti a fare un buon lavoro oggi ottenendo un risultato cronometrico accettabile. Le prime impressioni sono buone sulla moto di quest’anno: in uscita dalle curve è meno aggressiva e quindi più gestibile. Sembra quasi che gli manchi potenza, invece è tanto veloce quanto l’anno scorso. E’ davvero un ottimo passo in avanti. Ora sta a noi trovare il metodo migliore per guidarla e migliorare i tempi sul giro.”
